How painful is the industrial piercing from 1-10?

i've been wanting this piercing for the longest! when i got my cartilage pierced with a gun it was not bad at all.. i didn't even know it went thru!

1 being painless 10 being very painful

well they aren't going to be piercing it with a gun, they will use a needle. and for me it hurt reallly badly, i'd say an 8. but i couldn't compare since the only other piercing (lobe) i got when i was a baby, but the real pan was after i got it pierced. it will be this bad pain, but just take some migrain medicine or something. thats what i did and i felt great. but since you already had a carilage it shouldn't hurt that bad. and you'll love it, trust me im soooo glad i got mine.

Mine was about an 8.. it hurt more than my other 8 piercings, plus about equal with my septum.

The first hole hurt more than the 2nd, because I was already in pain.

Afterwards it was throbbing like h**l, and it felt as if someone had shot my ear or something!

But so totally worth it, I must admit.

P.S: You're so lucky you didn't wreck your ear when you had cartilage pierced with a gun! A lot of people who have cartilage (or any piercings besides ear lobes) with a gun have reported major infections, and in some cases shattering the cartilage, leading to ear collapse.

my friend got a barbell and said it didnt hurt that bed but it hurts when she lays on that ear or when her hair gets caught in it
