How people think about Mitsubishi Lancer GTS 2008?

this is really an amazing thing.

Lancer GTS just around under 20,000 dollars.

and look so kool.

does everybody know or have any experiences about this car?

its acceleration, and control?

anything bad or good about this car?

please give me your opinions.

They have built an OK car but the Mitsu brand is in such financial trouble that I would be worried about buying one.  If they continue to lose money the way they are, they will leave and stop selling here pretty soon.  Then there will be hassles of finding places to have any warranty work done.

it may look nice but its underpowered and slow the only good thing about is its handling

I think it's the best looking car in it's class.

Handles well for the most part.  Decent acceleration, but nothing to write home about.   Negatives include Mitsubishi's recent decline in quality.

Contrary to popular belief that Mitsubishi is in decline financially and build quality, the company actually is thriving. Yes, it's not making as much as Toyota or Honda but according to their financial report as of 2007, the company actually made a profit. That is 2 years after splitting with Chrysler. Build quality has improved tremendously as evidenced by good reviews from Consumer Reports, which by the way, rates the Outlander as "recommended" and "improved from the previous model" on it's review of the Lancer.

The new generation Lancers are great looking cars with improved quality inside and out. The GTS is not as fast as the commercial portray it to be. It's quicker than the previous model though. The GTS has the 2.4L MIVEC engine that has a decent acceleration. If you're looking for a quick Lancer that won't destroy your pocket, wait for the Lancer Ralliart. It will be coming out this fall. It will have a turbo engine that's smaller than the Evo X but still puts out around 232 hp with a torque of about 253 lb.ft. It'll be AWD and most of all, it'll still have the nice looks.
