  1. Hi Pookie!

Kitesurfing is NOT physical (70% of the power is handled by the harness) and the upper body is NOT the part that will be working hard; your legs will work more!

With the new "Bow" and "Flat" kites (the ones you will be taught with) you will actually be able to regulate the exact power of the kite so that you will never have to use excessive strength. As a beginner, you will also appreciate the new kites increased relaunch-abilities; we used to get exhausted swimming towards the kite while trying to relauch it. This is a thing of the past: kites now relauch on demand without any efforts.

Because of this "new" features, and highly increased safety, kitesurfing has become less physical over the last five years and is now also suitable for kids. Women love this sport too!

Kiteboarding has become less physical than wakeboarding, windsurfing or surfing... and it is also much EASIER to learn.

Kiteboarding isn't just a sport... it's a passion and a way of life... it can forever change your life for the better. It can be done in nearly any location in the world, with nothing but wind and gear that can easily be packed down to the size of a golfing bag. You'll meet the most incredible people, travel to beautiful locations and enjoy the healthiest of lifestyles.

Find a school in your area and give it a 2-3 days trial, you'll most probably get hooked.
