Handball is very popular in Scandinavia, and specially Denmark, where the women's team is the most popular.

This started some 15 years ago, when they won the European Championships, World Championships and the Olympics over severals years.

There are many clubs in Denmark, and the top Women's team also won the Champion League this year..

Team Handball is Scandinavia's sport. They love the whole "backwards soccer" idea. They play indoors and use their hands. Awesome sport!!!

Not a lot. I believe there are no major leagues for handball over there...maybe small ones.

Europe is highly concentrated in soccer (or so called "football").
