How possible is it that I'm pregnant?

Okay, let me start with the back story. I want to be as detailed as possible here. My boyfriend and I started having s*x on July 27. I got my period for July the next day. Well, afterwards we continued to have s*x a couple times on the weekends. We had s*x on August 10th, which was supposed to be when I ovulate [I keep track of this, going by my calendar and cervical mucus... I had intended on NOT having s*x on my fertile days, but was in too good of a mood not to!].

Anyway, we use condoms and spermicidal foam religiously. We've never had a condom to break or leak [so far]. This Monday, the 18th, I started taking birth control. I didn't want to start taking in until I got my period, just in case, but the nurse prac. said that the condom/spermicide combo is almost 99% effective, and that it was highly unlikely I'm pregnant. She made me take the first pill in her office. I didn't think anything of it.

I have lots of questions. My period was due the 24th, but since I started taking BC, will I get it for the month? Also, I've been nauseous with sore b*****s... which can be symptoms of pregnancy, PMS, or side effects from the pill. Say I did conceive a child on the 10th, I wouldn't be experiencing side effects so soon, would I?

I know you're gonna tell me to just buy a pregnancy test... but I don't wanna waste money for no reason. Do you think I'm just being paranoid?

  1. you probably aren't pregnant because, some people take birth control to have fewer lighter periods. So naturally people would be taking birth control for you're reason could get some symtoms of pms too.no biggie you're fine.

  2. I just asked a question if I should buy a pregnancy test since my period is in 4 days but I feel a lot of the symptoms and someone suggested picking up one at the Dollar store.  She said she tried one and it came back positive so I guess they work. I think I'm going to go get one and I think you should too.  But most likely it's symptoms of the pill your experiencing.

  3. Yes your being a bit paranoid that is deffinately side-effects of the pill you are fine don't worry about a thing. if youre that worried go to the dollar tre that should ease your mind they are actually good tests!

    GOOD LUCK!
