  1. IT DEPENDS ON WHAT YOU CALL AS PERMANENT AND WHAT YOU DEFINE AS PEACE.

Material Peace is burdensome and boring since there is no end to our needs and wants and also because all material peace is just for the moment and the immediate present - How can permmanent Peace and momentary experience go together?

  2. self actualization or self realization as that gives permanent peace.

  3. material wealth can be lost, one needs to constantly perform hence the pressure etc etc..while spiritual peace is peace with oneself and nature which will never cease to exist..dont know how to get permenant mental peace..may be discard the material possessions..i am not yet there

  4. Death

  5. well to have it be prementent someone would first have to understand the whole purpose of the world and why and how things that people dis agree with stll happen, and didnt reallt come from another place

  6. The peace you normally experience is only an interlude between two tumultuous experiences. To achieve permanent peace, the first step will be to analyse all your desires. If they are practicable and not against rule of law or otherwise, it should be enjoyed. Other desires should be deeply analysed and discarded. It takes a lot of will power & energy to analyse and discard your desires but it is worth the effort & result it would fetch. Never attempt to suppress your desires as they would grow manifold and boomerang on you at the most inappropriate time. Study of scriptures, practice of rituals and listening to satsang will help greatly in your attempt to attain permanent mental peace! God be with you in your efforts! Hari Om!

  7. Nothing is permanent in this mortal's world. It is just like chasing a mirage in a desert to quench our thirst, when we seek permanent peace of mind from the external world. Our monkey minds jump from one thing to another, unless, we learn the art of binding it to an object. So, one must get his right objective of life and stick to it under all circumstances.

The great epic 'Ramayana' has referred to an interesting character, namely, 'Hanuman'; who is the best among all the monkeys (minds). Why? Because, he had ardent devotion to lord Rama. We know about a proverb which tells us that whoever goes to Lankna, he becomes follower of Ravana. But I think 'Hanuman' was different from common folk since he tried to burn the Lanka.

As such, I think one must have unshakable faith on supreme power as God or in case of an atheist; it could also be his good self in order to manage permanent peace.

  8. Learning Yoga, meditation or martial arts can help.

Its all about balancing the mind!

  9. Take a large knife, cut your head open, and cut out at least 10 to 15 percent of your brain tissue, then you will be in a lovely place, and most memories of you will fade.
