How many times today have you referred to someone as (fill in with adjective)?

Yesterday? This week? This month?

Hmmmm, maybe we should consider more information before jumping to conclusions.

  1. I'm not, I don't pass judgement about people until I know them or I've met them on more that one occasion

  2. i'll give everyone the benefit of the doubt, and make up my mind about them over time, not just on one meeting- it all adds to my final opinion though, and once i've decided someones no good, i'm not likely to change it..

i haven't met anyone new in quite a while actually, so i don't know if i judged them. i like to think i didn't, but i'm not as nice as i'd like to be!

  3. I'm working on that - it's something I struggle with.

I'm becoming more empathetic as I grow older, but also less tolerant, so I have to apologize more often for things I say.

I am trying to take the time to figure out why people do the things they do, and not just assume that they have bad intentions.

Thanks for the reminder to think before I speak - I need it!

  4. Today?  At least six.  Yesterday?  At least 20.  I'm not very good at math, so the week and the month tallies are not something to which I've ever paid attention.  I am very judgmental, but will also admit if my initial judgment was off.

  5. Alarmingly slow, unfortunately.

As much of a bad habit as it is to judge quickly and harshly, it is also a character flaw to believe in everyone unerringly, even up to the second when I'm feeling the proverbial knife in my back.

  6. I don't pass judgment!!! And that's the truth!!    I've been through too much in my life!!!  No one knows whats waiting for them around the corner..............

  7. I PASS JUDGEMENT ALL THE TIME BUT ITS JUST ME AND IM NOT WILLING TO CHANGE FOR NOBODY CUZ EVERYTHING THAT I THINK OR SAY ABOUT SOMEONE ITS ALWATS TRUE

  8. I am pretty quick to judge - but I generally keep it to myself.

I am, however, willing to reassess someone in light of new information.

It's amazing how often my first impressions of someone are dead on accurate though, (not just self-fulfilling based on my preconceptions either).

I work in a fairly large architectural and engineering firm, and when they bring someone new in, I can almost always tell whether they are going to work out or not.

Some surprise me, but it's pretty rare.

  9. It is human nature to judge or come to some conclusion at one degree or another. Whether it be another person, a movie, a book or even a question on Y/A. It is those that have the will to change that judgment or conclusion when more information is perceived or given that are considerate.

  10. Um very quickly, but just because i make a judgement doesnt mean it is negative.
