As above really. I want to know how fast we can get a passport for a 4 month old son. We have booked to go on holiday in this country but the weather is set to be...well British. So we are lloking into the possibility of going abroad meaning our son needs his own passport. How fast can you get a passport and how do you go about getting one quickly? Is it possible to go to head office or not?

  1. 2 Weeks

  2. Go to the passport office and join the queue.

  3. Yes go to Petty France where the Passport Office is...take the birth certificate and photos also.  You might take your partner along also in case they ask you for his permission to have it.  If he is unable to come with you get him to give a written declaration to save you going there for nothing.  There is a photo machine in their waiting area.  The nearest tube stations would probably be either Victoria Station or Westminster. They will give you the passport on the same day providing you have everything ready.  You might like to pick up a passport form from the Post Office and fill it in before you go and check on the form what you will need to take with you.

  4. i kno last year i got an emergency pastport, nt i dunno if u can get one for children, call up the british embassy!!

  5. i got one in 30 min at liverpool passport office

  6. 2 weeks with the check and send service at the post office - I paid £6 on top of passport fee for this service recently and the passport was delivered by courier to my door in just over a week.

You can get it at the passport office but you have to join a large queue - which takes all day and costs a lot more.

  7. Mine took exactly one week. But you have to pay for extra express shipping.
