How quickly should eBay sellers post items?

Hello,

Are there any eBay UK rules that say how quickly sellers should post purchased and paid for items to customers? For example, within 3 days or 5 days or similar?

I don't think there is a rule. But buyers want items fast so they'll be happier if you send them sooner. Most sellers send the item out as soon as the buyer pays or within the next day or two. Others state that they only send out items on certain days. Probably best to send it out within a week though

I am a Ebay seller I post as soon as I have received payment I buy my postage on line and put in the post. My thinking is, if was me buying I would expect in within a couple of days of paying. Quick shipping gets better feedback.

no there isnt. its up to the seller when they post items. they should try and send items as soon as possible and if theyre decent seller inform you of why it wasnt posted for whatever reason.

I have used E bay both as Buyer and seller. To the best of my knowledge there is no specific rule regarding how quickly things are posted. I always say on items I am selling I will post ASAP after the payment has cleared and i always post within a day of the payment clearing , a lot of people do say on their advert how long before the item will be posted but it should never be longer than the week end after the payment has cleared. Send the person you have purchased off a message asking when the item was dispatched.

There is no rule on how quick a seller should dispatch an item, i bought something on ebay last monday and picked Royal mail 1st class standard, but it didnt come the next day .. It came on friday, and for some bizare reason it was already opend when it came through the letterbox. I sold a couple of things on ebay and as soon as i got the payment i either 1. took it to the post office or 2. Arranged for Parcelforce to pick it up the next day

I put on all my Auctions that I post within 48-72 hours of payment being received.  Unless the buyer has a bid on something else and asks me to wiat.
