How quickly will I see results from my braces?

I have just had braces put on my top front teeth yesterday and the dentist said I only need them for 6 months because I have a bigger arch wire. How quickly will I see results and how many months until they are pretty much straight like there meant to be?

It varies from person to person. But, after your orthodontist tightens it, after around 2 weeks or more you will notice some changes. But mostly around 4-6 weeks you will notice big changes, since it is time for your next orthodontist appointment.

Well, I got an expander in, and within 3 or 4 weeks i could see gaps between my teeth. Like BIG. Not just tiny cracks, but gaps.

Same for my friend.

So pretty fast. And if you only need them for 6 months, probably super fast.
