Although I know it's not very practical. I was just wondering that's all. I don't even know the language but some say that attending school would help. I seriously doubt it though. Especially since I'd need a scholarship.

  1. It will be realistic.

  2. Coming down for anime-NO

    Coming down for video games-NO

    Coming down for the ladies-NO

If you can't speak Japanese, basically your screwed.

But your more than welcome to visit.

  3. Japan is great to Americans. We protect them since they have no army, so they learn some english and there are many other people there that are American. There are regular people and many tourists nowadays that you can relate to. I would try the U.S. first, but if it is your last option then take what you can get.

  4. I am going to college in Japan for a year!  It costs the same as tuition at my school in America.  Except I pay for the flights.  Plus scholarships help.  If you don't speak japanese at all... don't go.  Because although the classes you will take will most likely be taught in English (except Japanese courses), it will be extremely hard for you to communicate with native Japanese who are not literate in English.  You will have trouble getting around too.  (OH! and, at my college in Japan (Kansai Gaidai) you make your own meals.  I am not sure if that is how it is everywhere but here you cook for yourself... The microwave and stove is in Japanese and the stores are in Japanese too.

In conclusion, unless you are studying Japanese or Asian Studies, don't go to college in Japan.  If you want to go to Japan because you think it would be fun, go on vacation.  Going to school in Japan would definitely help you learn Japanese, that is, if you already have a year or two of experience at the college level...

    Good luck.

  5. not realistic at all. they dont want u there and u dont even know their language. truth hurts, it is just unrealistic.

  6. go to a college here in the us. then around your sophmore or junior year, study abroad for about a semester or two. that gives you time to learn the language and also check out the field you are going into.

  7. Not very, unless you have a five figure bank account.
