  1. The oils on your fingers slowly tear down the strings. After you play, wipe down the strings with a soft cloth. Strings should last roughly a month or 2. So when you change your strings, do a quick wipe and polish. This will keep you and your guitar lookin, feelin, and soundin great.

  2. 1. Wipe over and under the strings after each playing session.

    2.  Using a damp, but warm washcloth, wipe down the body and then dry with a soft cloth.

    3.  When you change strings, clean and then oil the fretboard (if it is rosewood) before installing the strings. Ebony fretboards should be cleaned with a warm, lightly soaped washcloth and then wipe clean. Maple fretboards should always be wiped clean with a soft, dry cloth. See the manufacturer's guidelines about care for maple fretboards.

    4.  Thoroughly polish the entire guitar at least once a month and keep it stored within the case--not on a wall and not in a corner to gather dust, fingerprints from kids, and a new home for birds.

  3. i suggest you clean it everytime you play it cause everytime you play it sweat and other stuff come on out your pores and if they go into a guitar it could ruin it. try getting a cloth and wipe your strings and the fretboard if you could. as for the body try to buy a guitar polish in the store and put polish on it to keep it shiny and to remove the dust and fingerprints.
