Has anyone tried this before? would it need to go in a smell proof bag 1st?

No answers about it being a stupid post! Just what I ask, preferably answers from fellow tokers.

Thanks

  1. Packing a lighter in your checked luggage is a violation of FAA policy regarding hazardous material.  In a de-pressurized cargo bin, your lighter has the potential to explode.  In addition, when the baggage handlers "handle" your luggage, a potential exists for your lighter to leak, set something on fire, etc.

Current DOT policy allows one bic-type lighter in your carry-on bag or your person.  Provided you don't try to conceal it (or any illegal substance for that matter) TSA won't hassle you over a lighter.
