Is it really 15.99 Euro to fly roundtrip from London to Dublin? How is this possible? Has anyone used Ryanair and could tell me about it?

  1. Check again, you might find there are additional taxes, baggage costs etc. (which could add another €50+ to the costs)

they are reliable, but I tend not to use them, if possible, try Aer Lingus they cost the same but you get better service

  2. I have flown with Ryanair many times adn find them exceptionally reliable. Almost always on time and never a bag lost. Just keep in mind some of the points mentioned by the others.

The 15.99 doesn't include taxes. You don't have to pay baggage fees or priority boarding if you don't want to so it is possible to keep the cost down. Aer Lingus also charge for bags.

The train from London Stansted airport to London Liverpool Street is expensive (about €45 return) so might be worth considering AerLingus to London Heathrow - nightmare of an airport but you can get the subway to London city for a few pounds.

  3. ya it probably is true. i got a flight from shannon to stockholm(sweden) for 1 cent!! just remember that you also need to pay tax aswell about E40 or so

  4. well ryanair has a few millions passengers every year so yes they are serious.

On thing tough, beware of the price advertised....

You have to take into account the different prices :

    Flight Price

    Airport Taxes

    Checked in bag Cost.

Usually the price advertised is more than doubled.

I agree with Christine, Aerlingus has a similar pricing with better service and assigned seats, not a big fight when you enter the plane...

  5. I have been flying with them for many years now. I never had an issue.

They are very cheap but you need to add:

    - airport fees

    - 10 Euro per luggage to check in

    - fee to pay via your credit card

    - drinks and food not included

    - 8 euro per Kg excess luggage (15 kg max)

    - not allowed to average between 2 suitcases ( if you have 14 kg + 16 Kg then you pay)

You also need to walk a bit further.

They also advertise for cities but are actually away from them ( Beauvais for Paris, you need to add a 45 min shuttle bus)

Having said that, they are on time.

They are the cheapest. I even have seen flight for 0.01 cents excluding taxes.

  6. I travel with Ryanair from Dublin to London and back about twice a month and I never had a problem. The price on the website can vary day by day. One quote for a date in June was a total of Euro79.00 and at the weekend, the same flight was a total of just Euro37.00. The baggage fee has gone up to Euro12.00 now. Aer Lingus usually works out more expensive but it has the advantage of the Heathrow tube connection on site. This is cheaper than any ride to Ryanair airports.
