How reliable is the 2008 Yamaha V Star 1300 Tourer?

How reliable is the "2008 Yamaha V Star 1300T" motorcycle and would you say it would be a good value purchase at its MSRP price of about $11,000?

I would say get the Honda VTX1300t our tourer, 1000 less and very great bike. but go with what you like, its your bike, get a feeel for them and decide from there

It took me about 2 months to review many mid size bikes and kept coming back to the V Star 1300 T. I could`not pass up the looks and of course the price for what you are getting. I am happy to say I did buy it and have loved every ride either by myself or with my wife. There is so much room on the seats, I cannot even tell she is on with me. I have close to 600 miles on it (yes started at 0) and it is way cheaper to fill than my Jeep Grand Cherokee. As for price, I went 1k below and the dealer took my offer. Never pay MSRP :) Since gas prices continue to go up and more people or looking to bikes as a good alternative, I would bet that dealers will eventually only except their price tag.

I've had mine for about 3 months & have put 5,500 miles on it.  So far so good!  Love it.  I chose it over the Honda VTX 1300 because of EFI mainly.
