  1. Hello,   I took a look at the site, but I am unfamiliar with it.  Have you looked into the Better Business Bureau (or whatever it is in Canada)?  I would start there.

I would like to give you a couple of links that might help you in figuring out if a company is legit or not.

An article entitled "MLM Success and Network Marketing - What is MLM / Network Marketing REALLY?"

    http://www.passionfire.com/article2.htm

    and

An article entitled "MLM Network Marketing Company - What Should I look for in an MLM Company?"

    http://www.passionfire.com/Article3.html

The company I am with has a limited area in Canada open...ON, BC, PEI.  If you are in any of these areas, then I would like to invite you to take a look at our company.

Lots of home businesses are Direct Marketing (MLM) and are NOT scams.  But of course you do have those that are.  You also have the companies that are legit, but concentrate only on making money for themselves and let their distributors eventually hang out to dry.  So, you have all kinds.

You need to search and search wisely.  Read about Direct Marketing (MLM) and learn what to look for so you will not fall prey to the schemers.

I am a fortunate one that has found one of the good ones out there.  The company is run with integrity and leadership.

What you are looking for is what so many people are looking for...and the good companies are out there.  But, what some people are really looking for is a quick way to make money. If that is what a person is looking for, then a legit MLM is not the right home business for them.

If you are new to Direct Marketing/MLM the money will happen, but it will not happen overnight.  Of course it will happen faster for the seasoned Network Marketer.  But, any business just starting out has to give it time to grow as well as giving yourself time to grow.

The criteria mentioned in the articles I suggested above describes the company I am with to a tee.  But, remember, it will not happen overnight...it will happen...but, only if YOU are DEDICATED  to your business, and DETERMINATED  to succeed.  YOU can do anything in your life with those two traits.

I would be glad to speak with you to find out what you want in a home business and to help you discover if this is the right one for you.

I hope I have given you quality information and have inspired you to go after what you truly want.

    Take care.

    Laurie (Rock)

  2. I have tried so many of these work at home opportunities (and tons of money out the window).

The bad news is that there are many, many companies out there that are complete scams eagerly waiting to get your money.  The good news is that there are home based businesses out there that are genuinely legitimate.

There are two ways to work at home:

1 - A work at home job - these are usually hard to get and pay very little.  You are still working for someone else and will only make what they want you to make.  It is a job so there will be no up front costs.

    2.  A home based business.  If you can find the right one, you will reap the rewards forever.  This is your business just like a brick and mortar business but at a fraction of the cost.  You will usually have to pay an upfront costs ($10-$500).  There is usually a monthly fee to cover websites or other company overhead.  Which is very minimal compared to if you were to have a brick and mortar business (electric, sewer, inventory, etc.).  There are no limits to the amount of money that you can make and the business is usually willable and sellable!

After trying and trying I finally decided on Answer #2.  It seems like I made a career out of failing at home based businesses before I found the right one.  I enjoy helping people make informed decisions about working at home.

I have been very successful at working at home for several years now.  It is something that you have to put your mind to and be determined to succeed not matter what.  There are many naysayers and negative people out there.  You just have to put the blinders on and go full speed ahead with whatever you choose to do.

Feel free to email me and we can discuss this further (I promise I won't try to sell you anything : )

  3. It doesn't look legit or professional at all.  One of the most popular topics in forums today is the opportunity to work from home.  I have been researching this for a while now.  I enjoy making money online through eHow and other paid posting sites, but that is only a supplemental income for me.  For those who are looking to find a steady work-at-home job, I have compiled a list of resources to get you started.  Be careful of scams out there.  I have not fully researched all of these opportunities, but they seem reputable.  Make sure you never pay a fee to apply for online work.

  4. This isn't a professional web site.  This looks like just a normal blog.  Yahoo blogs are better looking than that.  The design looks like half the other scam companies out there.  I can't say for sure if it is a scam or not, because I'm unfamiliar with them, but just the low class web site it's on that a fifth grader could put together doesn't look very professional to me.

I came across this blog on yahoo that gives a lot of information on things to look for when searching for if something is legit.  It helped me out a lot and I think it can for you too.  A lot of information that will help you in deciding for yourself.

    Good Luck!

  5. It looks like it is rather scamming, but I have no personal experience.

Take notice to the word choice and use of bold and italics, as well as the "testimonies".

  6. I have never heard of that website before, so I would be leary.

Are you looking for a home-based business or a J-O-B?  I reccomend checking out WAHM.com for either a business opportunity or a job.  There are lots of women and men on there who are successfully working from home.

I would also like to invite you to check out the company I work with, Ameriplan: http://www.FreeAndHome.com

    Good luck in your search!

  7. Internet Scams

    The Truth About Internet Scams.

Internet scams are more plentiful than ever. Most online scams have origins in the off-line world and they have been brought on board the net by con artists and frauds.

Internet scams come in all shapes and sizes. But I'm going to show you some proven methods for sniffing out and identifying most scams on the net. Just read below and you'll be one step ahead of the scammers!

The first and easiest way to identify a fraud, scam, or con artist is to simply check for a phone number listed on the website in question. Con artists and scammers almost never list a phone number. And in the rare event that they do list a phone number, it's usually not answered. So even if you see a phone number listed, be sure to call it just to talk to a representative from the company. If you get a voice mail message, be sure to leave your name and number. Don't do business on that website until you get a call back from a representative. And even if you get a call back from a rep, be sure to ask questions such as this:

How long have you been in business? Can you give me some references from your past customers? What is your physical location and would you mind if I drive by to look at your building? What is your refund policy? What can you tell me about your products?

Lastly, be sure that the website in question lists a physical address on their website. If all they list is an email address or a contact form for you to fill out, I'd be extra cautious in doing business with them. There are plenty of other companies out there that do list a physical address and answer their phone all day long. And that's exactly the kind of business you want to work with.

You can also go to deja.com which will take you to google groups where you can type in the name of the business, company or individual person in question to see if there are any complaints floating around the net. Yah, everyone tends to be a complainer on the net, so you have to take your search results with a grain of salt, but it wouldn't hurt to look and see. Right about now, you're probably saying "Why not just call the better business bureau?"

You should understand that the better business bureau is not a government agency like the F.T.C.(Federal Trade Commission) and they don't have any authority like the FTC. In fact something most people don't even realize is that the better business bureau has complaints against itself! Yes, there are people that have called the police on the Better Business Bureau! I have been mislead and mis-informed by the BBB on several occasions. I've heard so many bad things about the BBB, that I don't give them much credit anymore. In my opinion, the FTC is the most powerful agency policing the internet and they're the only one I trust.

You can also go to websites such as OnlyReviews.com to investigate and look up companies before you do business with them.

Be sure to only do business with companies offering at least a 30 day money back guarantee.
