Ram, a hard material isnt necessarily more fatigue resistant than a soft one. Compare a rock with a block of rubber. Hit them both with a hammer and see which breaks first.

  1. it would depend on what kind of element a plastic or metal is made of because materials have different fatigue life and fatigue strengths.

  2. plastics are soft and metals are hard and this actual as well as psychologically also.

  3. depends on the plastic, or the metal. there are so many different plastics and metals and many different applications for each.

Just guessing, I would say plastics are in general weaker, but more resistant to fatigue cracking.
