On AG Playthings, a site about collecting American Girl Dolls, there's a message at the bottom of the screen that says "Would you like to write complaints about the site and how I am promoting the sale of products by a rotten company? How they are evil and need to be stopped?click here" I clicked it out of curiosity and a box opened up that said something 'atempting to give a d**n'! I was going on that site for my six-year-old sister! Who here thinks that's wrong?

  1. It´s ´sarcasm´ and there are worse things in the world.

Furthermore, you can click the ´x´ on the window as well and just not patronize her site anymore.

  2. There is only one offical American girl site and they do not do that.

American girl can not be blamed for what other morons due.

You can contact the real site and report the one that offend you.  American girl will confront them- they don't want there product used in that way.

  3. I don't understand the outrage. To me it sounds like the person running this site has had people complain about her site promoting American Girl products when they obviously have a problem with AG itself, and this was his/her humorous way of dealing with trolls.

Send your 6-yo sister to the actual American Girl site if you want to make sure she stays on safe places on the internet. It's a great site! Games, stories, all very wholesome.

  4. Wow. That is horrible. I've had an American Doll since forever, and i have never heard of such a thing. I do think its wrong.

  5. I'll say! Why, that person who runs the site must b sick in the head!

  6. As a parent I'm outraged, yet as a human being I am amused.

It's pretty messed up to put that on a site dedicated to toys, knowing who your audience is.

Then again, it is in really tiny print at the bottom.  What kid ever reads the tiny print?  For that matter, how many adults read it?

There may also be some kind of story behind this.  Perhaps the administrator or customer service was receiving an inordinate amount of emails criticizing the company for dealing with AG, and they got so fed up they just put this out there?  Who knows.

Plus it is a little bit funny.

  7. Yeah, that's kind of messed up.
