  1. Singapore buildings are super safe, no worry. Any way we dun have earthquakes, only went Indonesia moves, we tio

  2. Indonesia is about 700 Km away from Singapore when the earthquake first occured.  I think we are very safe since it is a 8.4 mantitude and a very powerful one.  Our HDB personnel had assured us that our building is build to withstand it, so sleep well my friend.

  3. I guess it's pretty safe for the moment.

However, new construction in the future should have the anti-quake feature.

  4. I think, I more or less understand how you feel this time. Rather strong and many area affected here, this time.

This time 8.4 or 8.5, this reading is at the high side for the past 20 years.

Their normal is(was) around 6.5 to 7.9, as far as I can recalled.

So when the reading higher, it is normal that the 'shake' was stronger and further this time.

Imagine throwing a 50gram and 70 gram stone into a pond, see the ribber different.

As for buildings, our gov. very strict on this, nothing to worry.

    My personal view.

Do not surprised, our building may able to remain standing even we have a 3 to 5 quake or higher.
