  2. I'm really shocked at some of the answers to this question! I lived in Egypt for two years and had some lovely Israeli friends who I knew from their regualar visits to Egypt. They also had many friends who were Egyptian.

  4. Why do you want to go to that sh*thole?

  5. I'm absolutely shocked at some answers.... I mean u can't blame all people for something a government and army is doing. As far as I'm concerned there are still laws that protect people!!

  6. It's Not Like they're Going To Kill You.

  8. Ultra N: please don't make random statements about matters that you don't have perfect or even half perfect info. about.

    It's not good at all

  9. EGYPT is safe for anyone anytime, but we don't want so-called israelis on our sacred, holy land.

  10. anywhere is safe as long as you dont cause a hazard

  11. There is a peace treaty between both countries. Also, tourism is a key source of income to Egypt (one of the top three incomes) so we try to keep it as safe as possible for tourists, it's in our interest to keep Egypt safe for tourists, regardless of their nationalities.

The issue of most Egyptians being Muslims or of us being Arabs and hating everything about what's happened and happening to Palestine has nothing to do with it when it comes to tourism actually.

I was surprised to find out actually a few years back that Sinai ( a peninsula in Western Egypt, with common borders with occupied Palestine "Israel" )  is home for alot of Israeli tourists and some few who live there!

I am not saying there is no hate lurking around underneath, alot of Egyptians really can't help showing their frustration towards what happens to their kins in Palestine. But one answerer here actually suggested something useful, tourist protection is guaranteed by the police, esp. when you come to them.

When it comes to tourism in Egypt, we're very practical, we can hate your country's guts but still treat you as you wish to be treated. And our religion, as opposed to what some allege, does not order us to kill jews or anything of the sort.

"Prophet Muhammad had a jew for a next door neighbour who threw rubbish in front of his door everyday, the prophet endured that politely. And one day when there was no rubbish infront of the door, the prophet asked about the man and was told that the jewish man is sick. Prophet Muhammad went to see him and make sure that he was okay. The jew soon became a Muslim because he saw how it's really like"

Sorry I made it long but I thought I'd share this with you, hoping to help put an end to the chain of hatred. Didn't mean to preach ^_^' hehe.

    Hope I answered ur q!
