  1. You need to talk to your doctor, BUT, it is my experience that many docs always say  that it is just fine, when really it is risky.  I spent 25 years working in Intensive  Care nurseries and we often had preemies whose moms had flown to our city , then went into labor... Airplanes are pressurised to  an altitude of 8000 ft...not good for the fetus unless you happen to live in Leadville Co. anyway.  Also, if you had a problem on the plane or in Jamaica, this could be very difficult.  The chanches are small that you would have a problem, but do you want to take a chance at all?  You have to decide what is more important to you...baby or vacation. I wouldn't recommend it

  2. Believe it or not I had my second daughter in Jamaica. I was allowed to fly because i wasn't at the point of concern. They usually won't let you fly within 4 weeks of your due date. I flew 8 weeks before my due date i was suppose to come back 5 weeks before my due date. I had my daughter i week before i was due to come back to Canada. After i had her in the hospital there i had to  fly to Miami a week later so that they could make sure that shes fine. She was airlifted there. I felt so bad after cuz i should have waited. I don't recommend you do it, you should wait until after your baby is born before you go.

  3. Just don’t fly its risky. You really don’t want to give birth on a plane.

  4. 1st off this question you should be asking it to your Dr not us.  Every woman is different, some women are stronger than others.  I used to work for an Airline but that's  another story, if your Dr tells you that you are in good health and you are holding strong(no signs of premature labor, no complications,no diabetes, etc ) The airline should not ask about your pregnancy unless you look like you are ready to pop. To answer your question, yes you are still able to fly according to airlines.

  5. You will need to check with the airline. I work in a flying school and we will not allow mums to be to fly before 12 weeks or after 27- and that is Civil aviation authorities ruling- not ours so its best to check with your airline- or all airlines that you will be using during that visit!
