How safe is it to inhale the flame of a butane lighter? Is there any danger in combusted butane in a flame? How safe is it to hold a butane flame over a dry (unpacked) pipe and inhale? Can the inhalation of a butane flame over long periods cause brain damage or other health problems? Do these risks only apply to inhaled butane gas? How does combusted butane compare? Is it degraded in a flame or still in relatively hight concentrations?

  1. just use a ******* regular lighter if your that curious and worried about it...

  2. The contents of your lungs will explode

  3. I would think most of the gas is being burned before you inhale too much. I wouldn't recommend doing it often however, to be on the safe side, I'm sure you're still inhaling a little bit. It's much better when the pipe is full anyway.

  4. Inhalation of butane can cause euphoria, drowsiness, narcosis, asphyxia, cardiac arrhythmia and frostbite, which can result in death from asphyxiation and ventricular fibrillation. Butane is the most commonly misused volatile substance in the UK, and was the cause of 52% of "solvent related" deaths in 2000.[1] By spraying butane directly into the throat, the jet of fluid can cool rapidly to –20 °C by expansion, causing prolonged laryngospasm.[2] "Sudden Sniffer's Death syndrome", first described by Bass in 1970,[3] is the most common single cause of "solvent related" death, resulting in 55% of known fatal cases.[2]

  5. yes but whatever does the trick

  6. You're worried about the butane? lol. what about the s##t thats in the cannabis?
