I have a 3.6 total GPA and scored 1950 on the SAT 1... what are my chances for being accepted into DCU or TCD as an undergrad to the school of business? Im not sure how these scores translate to Irish standardized testing scores. Thanks!!

  1. It's not easy to get into Uni in Ireland. The minimum entry requirement is based on the minimum points required to enter the previous academic year. So the minimum entry requirement is just a guideline. It could move up or down depending on the demand for the course. You should check their websites and phone admissions to discuss conversion of your grades to points (as the points system is set up for students with the Irish Leaving Certificate). Also, if you don't have an EU passport, you should also be aware that international student fees are significantly higher than EU student fees. As far as I am aware, most Universities have an allocation of places on each course for international student application, and I'm sure their admissions office will discuss your individual circumstances with you. Remember the time difference when calling them! Good luck.

  2. if you go onto the TCD and DCU websites they have both got sections which answer questions for international students.
