How serious is FIRST DEGREE FELONY in the US?

  3. Depends on what you did and where you did it.

    Let's say Bill and Bob decide to rob Steve.  During the course of the robbery Steve shoots and kills Bob.

    In California Bill will get counseling and Steve will have to go to diversity training.

    In New York Steve will go to prison and Bill will go into politics.

    In Florida, Steve will go free and Bill will go to jail for murder

  4. That would depend on the person who received it.  To me personally it is extremly serious. Being a felon is not ever going to go away.It will be a part of me forever.  

  5. 1st degree on what type of charge?? Murder, theft, assault??? Alot of times people are charged with a 1st degree, then its usually dropped to a lesser charge.
