How serious is McGahee's injury?

How many weeks will he be out? I know he had knee surgery, but Yahoo is projecting him to make some fantasy points on week 1. Will he even be able to play?

Not that serious. He's been sliding on draft boards so it's a good deal if you can get him in the 14-18 range. Once, he fell to the 20s and someone got a great steal there. He should be fine and I'm not worried.

I have McGahee on my team too and am trying to trade him but it isn't working out.  Apparently he's gonna play week 1, but I wouldn't count on it.  Nevertheless, he'll definitely be back week 2 or 3 if not week 1.  So I wouldn't get too worried as long as your able to replace McGahee for someone else for a couple weeks.  It might be a while before he is 100%, but once he is he'll be a top fantasy back.  If can, though, I would try to trade for someone who isn't injured just in case his injury is more serious than it seems.

he will be out for the rest of the preseason but he cant jog yet.

He should be ready for week 1 but expect Ray Rice to steal some carries
