Are you buying the official Yankee party line of tendinitis, back in a couple of weeks? I have my doubts. The Yankees are not known for being forthright when it comes to such matters and may think it is to their advantage to downplay the severity of the injury.

Personally, I think that he is done for the year. What do you think/

  1. He has Rotator Cuff tendonitis.

  2. The injury is not that serious from everything I have read.I think the Yankees are doing the right thing. They have'nt had a great pitcher come up through the ranks in forever. They just want to be patient with him and I can understand. When you look at prospects like Wood,Prior and Liriano you want to be careful. This kid could easily win 300 games over his career and K 4000.Why rush or risk that?

  3. to be totally honest I think he'll be back in relief this year but shoulder stiffness, pain, surgery, ect most of the time means his career probably coming to an end soon. That is never a good place to have problems

  4. Not too seriously according to Dr.James Andrews, Joba will be back by September or even late August.

  5. I think he'll be back in September at the earliest, but I think they will put him back in the bullpen (especially if Ian Kennedy is pitching well).

  6. If he's done for the year, the Yankees will probably miss the playoffs. No one quite knows when he'll be back up and throwing.

Honestly, for all the times he's thrown at Kevin Youkilis' head, I don't care if he's hurt. If Andy, Mike, or Mariano were to get hurt, I'd care. But Joba throws at Youk, so f*ck him.

  7. Oh well. I hate the Yankees anyways.
