  1. You would need gaming computer, monitors, router, great high speed internet, and several network cables.

Set a table up that can support the gaming computer, monitor, and chairs.

Buy a $50 Cisco Linksys router (depending how many port), you need network cables that is long enough to go from the router to each computer for connection.

You don't have to set the system up for anything as long as you have the router and network cables to hook it up.

  2. That's great. I remember some good LAN parties. You need a router. If you're connecting with Ethernet cables, use a wired router. If you need help setting up a router visit, http://portforward.com/help/pfprogressio...

You can find some good routers at Circuit City or Best Buy.

  3. all you need to do is to set up a hub that you can connect the computers to using cat45 cables

then if you have a router it makes it a lot easier to set up the network because it does it automatically for you rather than having to set it up on all the computers individually

make sure to use a cross over cable between the hub and router and to use straight through cables while hooking the computers up to the hub

oh and don't forget power splitters unless you have A LOT of outlets
