  1. I believe my political views to be founded on VERY DEEP principals and consideration of long-term effects resulting from our choices.

That's why I could NEVER support the Democratic candidates in this election.

  2. I make a distinction between "platform" and "principles".  Most politicians speak in terms of their platform, which is how they feel about a specific issue at this particular moment, while principles are the deeper beliefs that one can base a prediction of someone's future behavior.

Judging from political speeches and advertising and how effective those seem to be, I think most people engage in the political process in about the same way they engage in professional sports.  They pick a team, and root for it no matter how badly they are doing, or what scandals may be affecting their public image.  Just like many lose sight of the fact that baseball and football are games, many lose sight of the fact that politics is not.

  3. I only vote for candidates who support my opinions on policy, I am not a shallow voter whatsoever.

  4. I don't even bother voting!

  5. Most voters are shallow as h**l! The vote on popularity and charisma.....it makes very little difference what they are saying its more about how they say it

  6. Pretty intense, I want a glimpse of the candidate's soul...I wait until I see it...also in the meantime I study stances on issues and past history...
