Question:

How shiny is this paint - Behr kitchen & bath

Behr makes a kitchen & bath paint, described as "sateen lustre" on the can. If anyone has used this paint, when dry, what sheen/finish is it? (ie, flat, eggshell, semi-gloss, etc). Sateen lustre is, I'm guessing, just a made-up term to sound fancy, can anyone put that in normal paint terms for me?

  1. It's sort of between semi-gloss & satin - they probably mixed the two sheens together & got "sateen lustre".  Satin is a combination of flat & semigloss, eggshell is between flat & satin.  I prefer the satin sheens over semigloss, which seems too shiny in a bathroom, but is more durable than the more matte finishes.
