How short can hair be and still go in a bun?

I want a Victoria Beckham bob- ish type hairstyle, but have to be able to put it in a bun for ballet. Could this work?

than your sholders

and it would still be hard

to put it in a bun.

Probably not, but you could get it cut like hers and then buy one of those clip on extenstions and put it in a bun.
