How should Christians help to look after the world?

God said let the earth rest every seventh year- we, as people, have not done that. I don't believe in evolution, or even global warming. I believe that the earth is changing, yes- I don't believe it's ALL BECAUSE OF US TERRIBLE HUMANS- so only love the animals and the earth. God also gave us dominion over all other things. I think if we practiced moderation- which as humans we don't know how to do- there would not be any of these problems. People getting cancer everywhere, even allergies would be practically nil. So- to answer your question- we can't save the world! We're human- and therefore incapable. Sorry!!! Just being truthful with my OPINION.

what does being a christian mean? everything in the religion is contradictory.... if you drive to work as an environmental engineer, arent you committing a sin because you are driving a car and it is polluting the atmosphere? Ask youself - how as a person you can help the world. Forget religion.

I think there are a lot of things we can do.

First of all, we need to accept that we have been too passive for too long and get ready to make our voices heard again.

Next, organize initiatives and motivate the integration of more people to the cause. mm... without falling into the marketing around this.

Next, ask businessmen to stop their greed, leading by example.

Recovering our right to indignate before animal abuse and the like.

OK, there you have a few ideas.

The way that everyone else should - by realizing that we are in a shared world and that what each of us does has an impact on everyone.  Take responsiblity for your actions and treat the planet like you are passing it on to someone that you love.
