How should I act on the community that I shall be joining in September?

I am joining a community of about ten people in September so that the children's farm where I work can make some new decisions on how things will be ran. If we are lucky enough we may well be getting a grant for some building work, but we will not know until September quite near the end of the month.

  1. Make sure you voice you're opinions . You shouldnt just agree with everyone else put your ideas out there too.

    Good luck!

  2. But what is your question?

  3. Remember the end goal is to benefit others so make sure to keep your ego in check when it comes to discussions or debates over current issues.  If you want to be taken seriously, make sure you act responsible and professional at all times.

Other than that, try to be yourself, remain open to the community's opinions and don't be afraid to offer your own thoughts.

The best case scenario here would be to make new friends and get that grant.  You'll likely make valuable connections and will learn a lot from this experience.  Best wishes to you, this must be very exciting.

  4. Are you thinking it would benefit your community if the members did not have a voice, or are you considering refraining from speaking because you think folks will like you more if you are agreeable?
