How should I advertise babysitting and other jobs around the neighborhood?

My friend and I are 14 year old girls and this summer we are doing all sorts of things like babysitting, pet sitting, house sitting, dog walking, tutoring, cleaning houses, and doing kids party planning. How should we advertise? We can put up flyers in the neighborhood but any other suggestions?

I think the best way is to visit your neighbours, seeing is believing. You could try flyers as well. But would be best to have them with you and give them out with a list of things you do. As a mother I would be more interested in meeting you rather than just reading a flyer.

You can make a website if you want.  You can do it for free at Microsoft Office Live, you will need a parents credit card, but it won't get charged, the site is totally free from Microsoft.  You probably won't find customers online, but it will make you look more legitimate if you have a site with your pictures and experience listed, then you can put "visit us online" on your fliers.  Just be sure not to put your names with your photos.  You are young and should be careful of how much about yourselves you expose online.  You can get free business cards at VistaPrint.com, get them and give handfulls to friends asking them to pass them out.  Ask local convenience stores if you can leave a little stack near the register too.  I know that Whole Foods, K-Mart and some other stores have community bulletin boards where they will let you hang an ad for free, track those places down, it never hurts to be everywhere!  Post fliers in playgrounds and other places where little kids go with their parents, just remember to go get them, you are advertising, not littering.  Lastly, you could contact your school and see if they are sending any newsletters out.  it may be too late, but if it isn't, then you could buy an ad in one.

you should make one of those flyers that you hang on door k***s and put on it somthing like :so and so's baby sitting 5$ house sitting 35$ pet sitting 20$ and so on and at the bottom put your phone numbers hope that works!
