Question:

How should I clean baby oil and vegetable oil off my shower tile?

My wife is out of town this weekend and an old freind (who is also the hottest stripper in my state!) stopped by for a visit. It had been a while since I saw her and one thing led to another.....we ended up in the shower with baby oil and when we ran out of that, she grabbed a big jug of Mazola. This morning, when took a shower, there was a greasy, slippery film on the tile that wouldn't come off with soap and hot water. The tile is 1ft square white travertine (sp)....my wife had it special ordered from Italy. She will totally notice right away if it's stained or slippery and she WILL become suspicious. Any suggestions on how to remove the oil and get the tiles back to normal? My wife gets back on Sunday. So I have some time.

By the way, I'm not interested in any women slamming me for messing around. Just need the women out there to give me some advice on cleaning. Thanks for your help!

  1. use paint on it , i want to see your answer next when your wife comes home let us know what it's like to cheat on her

  2. dawn takes grease out of your way!

  3. ooooh, kinky. Use Simple Green or a citrus cleaner.

  4. Try some dish soap. It's entire purpose is to cut through grease and oil on your dishes. It should do the same thing in your shower without doing any damage to your tile.

  5. Simple Green, Castrol Purple Degreaser or Orange Hand Cleaner will all do the trick. They can all be found in the automotive department. Spray or spread on, allow to sit 10 minutes then wipe away and rinse. It is all non abrasive and is made to gently clean away grease and oil. They are so gentle, I use them on my laundry sometimes.
