try not to have too many distractions around. make your room homey but not cluttered. I guess keep labeled bins so you can do a quick clean up and know where you stashed your things

Aside from that, just make sure your desk is clear and your surroundings are comfortable so that the environment will be conducive to learning. Make sure you have good lighting and a comfortable chair. Some people find that classical music helps them concentrate.
