  1. firstly, get a gerbil instead, their better

secondly, dont just get one, it will get lonely !

thridly, if you want to convince your parents just keep telling them how much you want it and how you will look after it and try doing jobs for them so they will let you

remember buying a hamster/gerbil is not just a one time price, food and bedding need to supplied so you will need to think about that.

    hope i helped  :)

  2. Just tell them they're not much work and do some research on them so you no more. If you didn't know already hamsters are nocturnal so they won't be awake during the day, unless you wake them.

  3. Well first you need to know that it will cost much more after time because you have to buy new bedding depending on the quality of the cage you may need to get a new one and there's the food, they can be less expensive than a dog or cat but remember you will provably spend about $300 a year, also if your willing to pay all that money just tell you mom how you can take care of it, that your responsible, but the #1 rule it to always, ALWAYS stay calm and not to whine if they say no, ask maybe once every or every-other day, so your mom may give in and also show everything you know about them and that they are nice pets. I think that should work.

  4. The way I convinced my parents was by cleaning my room, cleaning around the house doing the dishes, etc.  You just need to make sure that you show them you are responsible and if you research on hamsters, they might think that you really want to have one.

P.S. Hamsters are only about twelve and cages can be anywhere between 15-40 dollars.

    Hope this helps!!

  5. The best way is to show, not tell, them that you will be responsible enough to care for the animal.  Far too often, I see parents being forced to care for an animal after they have purchased it for their child.  While it is important that an adult be the primary caregiver for a pet, you should show the responsibility to them that you can care for it yourself.  Use some of that money to buy a book on hamster (around $5) and research everything that the hamster will need.  Then, you can make out a price list of everything to set it up (cage, bedding, exercise wheel and ball, chew toys, water bottle, food dish, food).  I work at PETCO, and I have helped many kids put together a list of items that they will need and how much it will cost them.  Also determine the weekly cost of caring for the animal (how much food per week, how much bedding, etc.).  It may seem like a lot to do, but if you show the initiative to do the work, a lot of times the parents will be thrilled to help out.

  6. You should get a hamster they love to play and are very friendly.  I have two and they climb right out of their cage to play with me.  You will probably need more money than fifty to get one because my cage was about fifty and my hamster was ten.  You also need to get a ball so they can run in it in your house.  You need food, bedding and treats.  So in the end you'll need close to eighty.  Hope this helped and good luck!!
