I have some new friends coming over in a week. I am new here and I don't know anyone. These girls are popular and going to my school and they will be in 8th grade. I am going into 7th grade. I want my room to look more grown up. I am 13 but my room still looks like a kids room. I packed all my dolls and most of my stuffed toys. I have some scary pink curtains and a lacy bed skirt that have to go! My parents will help me redecorate this week but I don't have ideas. They won't take me shopping until I get a list or idea of what I want. It's hard for me to make up my mind and I take forever in stores and they hate that. My parents just bought me these two items from Pottery Barn Teen. My mom said they are 'good investment pieces' and I like them too. Honestly what do you guys/girls think?http://www.pbteen.com/products/p1829/ind...http://www.pbteen.com/products/p1577/ind...My parents said PB's bedding is overpriced. Also a lot of their stuff is sort of 'little kid' looking and I want to move away from that! Where can I get cheap bedding and curtains with a more 'adult' looking print? What should I avoid other than bright big patterns and babyish pastels? What styles are more 'adult' looking without being too formal?Any suggestions of how I can make my room look more mature?
