Question:

How should I display my love of animals?

I've tried several times to be vegan/vegetarian. But it's really hard because my family is so meat loving. And i don't cook.

I'm all for animal rights. And I follow PETA very closely.

I want to be taken seriously as an animal activist/lover. Any ideas on how to display this properly?

  1. Learn how to cook then.....and cook avidly what a vegetarian would cook.  If not, you can always buy stuff to throw in the microwave, but still most of those products aren't that healthy....~~~

    I'm glad to know you follow PETA closely.

    People are going to tell you that it's no big deal to eat meat.....but when you come to think of it, there are so many other food scources out there.  Just stay true to your beliefs and yourself, that's all.

  2. My daughter-in-law is a vet and my son loves all animals, but they are both meat eaters. Does that make them bad. I don't think so. Anyone who becomes a vet does it for the love of animals, not the money. By the way PETA is a very radical group and are often wrong on their views of animals. Not eating meat or eating meat does not change the way you feel inside. I love animals, flowers, plants but, I eat all of them because that is why God put these things on the planet, for us to use and enjoy.

  3. my family= HUGE meat eaters also.

    im from kentucky;

    so yeah.

    i had tried many times to be a vegetarian before;

    it IS very hard/frustrating.

    but once i watched all the peta videos;

    i had too.

    if your parents really love you, they ll finally acceptn it;

    like mine.

    when theyed cook, i just wouldent eat;

    you parents dont wan you to starve.

    just revolt;

    :)

    do it for the animals.

    join the peta2 street team too;

    they give you a dvd and stickers.

    you can show them off to your friends

  4. Volunteer at a soup kitchen.  If you love animals that much, imagine how much you could love people!

  5. Practise what you preach!

  6. There are many ways to display your love for animals; unfortunately, most states have laws against it!

    Sorry, had to do it.  It was just too easy.

    You can volunteer at an animal shelter.  You can begin a veg lifestyle by slowly phasing meat out of your diet.  It doesn't have to be all or nothing, every little bit counts.  Only YOU can be the judge of what you are able to do, but let it be more than you previously thought you could do.  Even if all you can do to start is drink one less glass of milk a day, it's something.

    Most importantly, don't let ANYONE try to make you feel as though your efforts aren't good enough.  As long as you are trying, it's good enough.  Most people don't even try.
