How should I dress for a campus visit/tour?

If it matters any, going to an Ivy League School (UPenn)

  1. Dress smart - nice jeans/khakis and a sort of professional looking, covering shirt. I see SO many high school kids/freshmen running around in S****y, over done outfits and it looks stupid and young.


  2. Do you also have an interview?  If so -- jacket and tie.  If not -- then I would suggest "Business Casual."


  3. smart but casual. like you've not tried too hard. you want to give them a good impression.

    smart jeans with a shirt is a good choice: it's not too laid back but not too formal.

  4. Even though you won't be meeting with admissions officers, you should look nice. I would suggest khakis and a polo, button-down, or plain (no graphics/writing) t-shirt. You can wear flip flops if you want. If you want to wear jeans, wear ones that are a darker wash, and no rips!
