  1. Don't wear jeans- a polo shirt or other collared shirt would be nice, or a non-revealing nice shirt. You should have at least one nice outfit for such occasions.

Edit: If they are nice clean sneakers that look appropriate with your khakis it should be fine. Definitely do a collared shirt in that case though- polo would be best with sneakers, preferably a darker color. Get black- then you can use it if you get the job too.

  2. for a job at starbucks as like a cashier or something, it doesn't have to be too terribly formal.  maybe nice dark wash jeans and a professional but somewhat casual shirt.  and it depends on the condition of the sneakers.  if they are nicer ones that look somewhat professional then yes.  but not ratty old ones.

i work in a grocery store and our uniform is jeans, our work shirt and sneakers.   for my interview, i wore a nice shirt (not extremely formal just neat looking), dark jeans that had been ironed and some casual slightly dressy shoes (ballet flats).  i was 16 so they weren't expecting like business dress for a cashier interview.

  3. yeah buy something casual but not too formal...

  4. Yes. Maybe nice dress pants - pinstripes or just plain black pants and a nice dress shirt or blouse. You for sure want to look as professional as possible. Jeans and t-shirt says you don't really care, at an interview you want to impress them.

  5. Even if you go to an interview at Starbucks and will be wearing a green apron and a uniform shirt. there . for the interview you should definitely not go in Jeans.. you need to either get some other nicer trousers...  they don't have to be a suit and tie.. but you should wear nice trousers. for summer and you should wear neat polished shoes.. that match the trousers.. Don't wear running shoes... and wear a shirt...and a tie.. even if this is a Starbucks interview and you won't need to wear it there again and they hire a lot of young enthusiastic people.. but for an interview .. even if you work in a factory. you always have to dress up one bit better than you would for the job. and at the job you probably wear black pants... they do in Canada at Starbucks.. and a green apron.. so you should at least wear some black or beige pants and matching shoes which shine..  because the interviewer takes everything about a person in.. they look at you and you think he or she won't notice something..  they got eyes at the back of their head so it seems.. so yes.. Dress up smartly .. not a suit. smart casual x*x

  6. Yes, just khaki pants and a dressier shirt.  Wear shoes.

  7. Always show up in dresscode, or even a little dressier. I went a little dressier, and I got the job. Show them you mean business =)
