How should I dress?

Question

Ok, I'm getting married soone. We have decided to get married on Halloween nite in a private ceremony at our church. We will have a "HUGE" reception the following day. I'm a simple person. Should I still wear a simple white wedding gown or just a simple white suit. And would it be crazy if I wore the same thing to the reception? Help me out ladies who have budgeted for their own weddigns down to the very penny!!!

if i were u i would wear a wedding dress to the ceremony and for the reception wear a simple, pretty, & classy dress.

Halloween! yay! I love halloween. I'd shoot for an elegant simple white wedding gown...and maybe the suit for the reception? Or even a little white dress.

Since it's on Halloween, you could even get away with going to a thrift store, or consignment store, and wearing a simple vintage dress...

Most people get to wear their wedding dress once. You have the opportunity to wear it two days in a row so go for it!! :)

i would get a white dress. and its definitly not weird to wear it both nights! this sounds like a blast hope you have fun!!

Wear whatever makes you feel awesome. Go to a few bridal stores and try on some gowns. If you feel too frou-frou, even in a simple gown, you might be more comfortable in a suit. And don't feel like you have to stick with white - you could wear a beautiful burgundy outfit if that's more your style.

And you can definitely wear the same thing to the reception, if that's what you want. Your guests will all be really excited to see you in your wedding outfit. If you choose to wear something else, it would be nice to have some wedding pictures floating around the reception so that you don't have to tell every single person what you wore.

pretty wedding gown for the wedding... pictures are important...

one day you will want to look back and smile!

and a simple, but pretty cocktail dress for the day-later reception.

I would wear a dress to the ceremony - a simple gown is perfect. Then I would also wear the gown to the reception - your guests will love to see you in the wedding gown

I would wear a nice dress and wear it to both occasions. Get a cute cocktail  dress. nothing too bridal or formal.

Congratulations on your upcoming wedding.

It sounds to me like you have a limited budget too.  You don't say if the reception is in the afternoon or the evening.  That would play into deciding what to wear as evening is more formal than a daytime event.

Actually, you can wear either.  It just depends on what you are more comfortable in.  Most ladies do wear a gown, and you could wear it both days.  If you are uncomfortable in a gown, then go with the suit.
