I am starting school in 8 days, and I just found out that I am going to have a bad teacher. What review book(s) should I look at?

  1. It depends if you're taking AP English Language & Composition or AP English Literature & Composition.  If you're doing the Language variety, I recommend the CliffsNotes book for the test.  I had a bad teacher for that class as well, but using that book, I ended up with a 5 on the exam.

For AP English Literature, I've heard that the Princeton Review book was pretty good, but I've never personally used it myself.  You can check out reviews for different books at www.amazon.com if you want.

  2. Whew! You are  close. English for most of us is difficult because of the exceptions but not to worry. I do not know if this book is still in print but it is a lifesaver for English. Actually there are two: English 2600 and English 3200. They consist of approximately 1600 questions covering every facet of English. You immediately know if you chose the right answer. If you chose wrong, it teaches you. You may find them in a library or go on line. Hope this helps.
