Should I give my baby all of his shots at once (5) or should I split them up a couple weeks apart? I am going back and forth on what to do. Any suggestions?

  1. All at once. Don't put the baby through that twice.

  2. I had mine done all at once.  That way you can deal with the mild fever and any discomfort that he might have all at the same time instead of dragging it out.  He already has to get more shots at 4 months, why not try to at least keep them together.  I had my son's done almost 2 months ago now.  He just had 2 shots (several can be combined into one shot and then one was put on his pacifier.  The nurses did both shots at one time.  Then it was over with.  He had a little bit of a fever and a little soreness in his legs, but a couple days later it was like it never happened.  Then we had 2 months before I had to do that to him again.  Personally, I would rather just get it over with.

  3. I think and I have allowed the doc to give her shots at once because she is already going to get shots why not all? who wants to go through pain twice? Once the doc gives her two months shots, give her some tylenol which will recommended by the doc. good luck.

  4. Split them up to avoid adverse reactions.  Doctor's will usually automatically do this.

  5. Get them all at once, and for goodness sake, keep up on them!

  6. the doctors have a set of shots called pediarix(sp).  it's 2 syringes but, it covers all the vaccines.  my kids have been getting them ever since they were babies.  it's easier and less painful.  my middle one was the first one to get the pediarix shots.  it's kinda nice cause there 2 shots....one in each leg and that's it.

  7. Don't give him any shots at all. All you will do is compromise his immune system, not strengthen it. The body is designed to be exposed to pathogens through the mucus membranes, not injected deeply into the muscles and blood stream.

  8. The doctor will usually give them all at once.
