How should I go about cleaning my gas bbq grill?

I heard that easy-ff oven cleaner would work. Also, can I use my water hose to help clean it off? Im using it in two days os if you have any suggestions, please help. Thanks

then wire brush the grill

OUTSIDE , should clean up with mild soap and water.

such as Dawn or SpicnSpan

inside: turn it on  Heat  it up , up a BRASS brush. or you can wear protective gloves  and it will clean up with water , as the grill plates heat you can wipe them Off with a thick cloth and the steam will clean it very well with no chemicals. if it is a fancy stainless one Windex the outside once its COOL.

use caution when using a brass or any brush on the grill plates it can damage the porcelain and make it chip off.
