How should I go about cutting my employees pay?

My family own a office stationary shop which has been running for 17 years and employ two workers who happen to be my bigger brother and sister. I am the youngest and have earned the trust of both my parents to manage the business.

About a month ago I took a break and went overseas to a flower convention with my grandma [A promise I had made on her last birthday].

On my return my Dad informed me that the business was suffering heavily due to the countries political upheavals and was not happy with the earnings of the business. So he told me to fix it. I have only two options, to fire one of the employees and be at the shop myself and work but not get paid or cut their wages by 50% at the most.

I'm really barfed, I have no idea what I'm doing or what I'm going to do. I can't fire the employees because their family and plus I can't work because I'm never at one place for long. I'm either at conferences or away promoting the business to outer islands and schools and the works.

If you have any advice for me on this, I would really appreciate it. I am all out of ideas and options.
