How should I go about installing World of Warcraft on an external hard drive?

Several of my friends, my siblings, and me play WoW. I have been wanting to install it on my laptop instead of the desktop since I do a lot of traveling. I have heard that I can install in on an external hard drive and run it from there so that it doesn't take up too much space. However, I don't know enough about computers to know how to do this. I was hoping that someone could give me step-by-step instructions to do this, or a site that does.

1. If you don't have an external hard drive. Get one... Computer stores or internet.

2. Connect it to your lap top using a USB cable.

3. After you connect it and your computer installs the drivers for it, the hard drive will show up on your computer.

4. Insert the WoW disks and choose the external hard drive as the drive to install to.

I aggree just plug-in the hard drive to the PC or Laptop and install to a directory on there.
