How much money is involved? Do I need any business experience? What advice do you have for me?

  1. First of all,you need to apply for an application for a not for profit business status. Get a solicitors license also. While you get that rolling, get some signatures from as meany people and busineses as you can. Get someone(preferably your local goverment)to donate all the things your organization needs. Finally, get a raffle going so you can raise money. good luck, and have fun.

  2. Get government approval.

  3. You need a board of directors (people willing to donate their own money to the center, and who are responsible for the center's finances), a business plan, a strategic plan, a proposed budget, endorsements from various community people citing the need for this community center, a proposed site, and all sorts of legal paperwork.
