Question:

How should I help him?

I know this is a little graphic but here goes nothing. Recently a close male friend of mine told me that he had heard his parents having s*x. He said he could hear his mother moaning and he could hear the bed shaking. He was extremely traumatized. He said his parents were going through a divorce and he couldn't understand why they'd be having s*x. He's really upset and confused. He can't look at either of his parents now and he won't talk to them. He's not going to tell either of them that he heard them having s*x. I feel really bad for him and I just want to make him feel better…what should I do or say to help him, even if it helps just a little bit?

  1. It's tragic, but a fact of life.  He can say anything in love.  If he tells them in the nicest way possible that he can hear them "sleeping", they may tone it down a bit.

  2. tell him its normal part of marriage. its no big deal

  3. it will heal in time. but in the meanwile just try and keep his mind off it. aww dat really sucks

  4. parents are allowed to 'do it' as well you know.  It was probably a good bye thing, or maybe they were trying to reconcile.

Maybe, thats the only thing they liked about each other..

    parents do - do it!

  5. console him, be a good listener and cheer him up by telling him it will all be ok.

  6. ok

i can def understand how that would be freaky

    just

hang out with him a lot and get his mind off it

i know what its like to not be able to look at ur parents and its horrible

the best thing is to keep him distracted till it goes numb a little
