I have a pet bird which is a cockatiel. I tried to put this harness I got for him on him but he won't stay in and he bites me. I'm not clipping his wings because now that he can fly he's so happy. So how should I get it on him without bothering him and making him stressfull? P.S: I already tried doing it with treats.

HELP ME!!!!!!!!!!!!

  1. Maybe he just has 2 get used to you putting a harness on him. He'll eventually come around

  2. I don't like harness'.  birds have really brittle bones.  I would hate for a bird in a harness to become spooked and try to fly away and then brake a bone.  I still think clipping the wings are the best, unless you shut a door and let the bird fly around a room under your supervision.

  3. Does he really need the harness? Just close him in a room and let him fly around.

  4. WHAT???,ITS A BIRD,LET IT GO /FLY.let me come and tie your arms and legs together.i bet you will bite me,unless i give you a treat.

  5. Bird Harnesses are really bad. I had one for my cockatiel and he hated it. the harneses are very difficult I bet.

Did you just buy the harness? if you did, go return it and try the Avian flight suits. They're alot more comfortable and stylish, and its a built in diaper! :]

T-T I gave up with the harness so i got one of those.
