They're teenagers, so I don't want them to know each other from work.

It's gotta be romantic, so they're not with their friends at the time. They live in a smaller neighborhood, so like it's not a big busy city.

What's an original romantic way for them to meet? (romantically.)

(I've got a case of the writer's block syndrom) :]

  1. In a real way. Model your characters after folks you know well, give them flaws and real traits. Write what you know. It will come flooding into you if you do. Cheers and good luck.

  2. I like the idea about meeting someone in the park or in a coffee shop or a bookstore.

  3. Lets see I envision something along these lines. I’m making up stuff by the way i.e. character names, traits and what not since obviously I don’t know how your story goes.

His head ached as it usually did after a long day of school. Jennifer had seriously talked his ear off today. Alex this and Alex that, she said his name so much it made him want to change it. The breeze was nice and cool though, bringing the soothing scent of fall to his nose. The park was one of his favorite places especially in autumn when the leaves were changing. It was his place to clear his mind and relax, somewhere he wasn’t bothered. Now if only there wasn’t someone sitting at his bench.

Cora smudged the charcoal line she had just drawn, softening the line of his jaw until it was just right. She shaded the contours of his face, adding careful strokes to make sure she captured his signature smirk perfectly. She shifted on the hard park bench, glancing up at the trees around her as the breeze whistled through their autumn leaves before retuning to her work.

Cora sighed as she thought about Alex. He was quite handsome and she couldn’t help but try to put his likeness on paper. The artist in her compelled her to do so strictly for artistic purposes while the girl in her told her it was purely for selfish reasons. Suddenly the wind kicked up snatching the pages from her and scattering them across the grass.

"No no no." Cora muttered as she ran after them. She had just reached down to pick up what she thought was the last one when she looked up to see another one being held out to her. Cora stood slowly, hoping against hope that it wasn’t the very person she had sketched on that page.

"This is really good you know. You even got that scar in my hairline, most people don’t even notice that."

"Alex." Cora whispered as she looked up at him.

    He smiled. "It's Cora right?"

    "Um yea."

"If this picture wasn't so good," he said handing the page back to her, "I might actually find it a little creepy."

Cora hurriedly took the page. "I'm sorry, I’m a bit of a perfectionist, I draw things as I see them." she said defensively and began to walk back to the bench to get the rest of her things

Alex followed after her. "Wait! I apologize, I was just teasing. I really didn’t mean to offend you. I don't mind having a stalker."

Cora whirled around to object to his last statement. Alex, not expecting her to do so walked right into her and they both went crashing to the ground.

Alex was taken aback at how pretty her auburn hair looked against the bright leaves beneath them. Her face was flushed, hazel eyes wide with shock before she glared at him. "Now if I’m the stalker, shouldn’t I be on top?"

Alex was taken aback by her comment before he burst our laughing.

"Ok but seriously you're heavy." Cora wheezed.

"Sorry." Alex got up and extended his hand to help her to her feet. She stood and began brushing the leaves off of her clothing.

"I'm really not stalking you Alex."

His green eyes glittered in amusement. He could tell she really wanted him to believe her. She was pretty in a classic sort of way, it was a refreshing kind of beauty that differed greatly from Jennifer's supermodel appearance. Alex reached to pluck a few leaves from her hair, his ego swelling with pride when she blushed and looked away shyly. "I know." The wind whipped around them stirring the sketches Cora dropped when they fell.

    "Oh man."

Alex laughed as he helped Cora gather up her artwork for a second time, somehow managing to end up with his portrait again.

"Keep it." Cora said with a smile as he tried to hand it to her.

He rewarded her with his signature smirk. "Thank you."

Cora packed up her things and slung her bag over her shoulder. "Well i guess I'll see you tomorrow."

    "Stalking me again?"

Cora laughed. "A bit vain are we? No, I’ll see you around at school."

Alex ran a hand through his black hair sheepishly. "Oh. Ok well see you."

Cora waved goodbye and began the short trek home with a small smile on her face. Alex watched her go actually looking forward to seeing her again.

Okay I know that’s not what you were expecting and I really didn’t expect it to get so long but I couldn’t help myself once I saw it in my head. So whether it helped or was absolutely useless, it was fun.

    Happy writing!!
